The Silver Jubilee Celebration of Mithila Women’s Committee, a unit of Mithila Cultural Council mesmerized the audience with a traditional note and musical vibrance here at Bokaro Steel City on Saturday night.
Local MLA Biranchi Narayan inaugurated the celebration which was organised at Mithila Academy Public School auditorium. Several Maithili traditional songs and dance were performed during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion Amita Jha, president of the committee highlighted the journey of 25 years of the institution. “Besides promoting Mithila art and culture our committee is also active in the field of social service”, she added.
Beside others, Meera Mishra, Amrendra Kumar Jha, Arun Pathak, Priti Rai, Kiran Mishra, Usha Jha, Alka Jha, Puspa Karn, Punam Singh, Kanchan Jha were present during the celebrations.
