PM Modi Warns: No Tolerance for Nuclear Blackmail, Operation Sindoor Just the Beginning

PM Modi Declares New Era in Anti-Terror Strategy, Warns Pakistan Against Misadventure

New Delhi: In a forceful address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday broke his silence following the high-intensity Operation Sindoor, sending a strong and clear message to Pakistan and the global community: India will not tolerate terrorism, nuclear blackmail, or state-sponsored terror — and will retaliate decisively on its own terms.

Referring to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed 26 civilians, PM Modi said the assault had “personally pained” him and united the entire nation in its demand for justice. Lauding the Indian Armed Forces for their precision strikes across nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), the Prime Minister said: “Every terrorist now knows the price of wiping out the sindoor of Indian women. Operation Sindoor is not just a mission name — it reflects our pain, our resolve, and our strength.”

Modi confirmed that Pakistan had reached out through diplomatic channels, pleading for the cessation of strikes, but India agreed to pause only after Islamabad promised to end its misadventures. “We destroyed not just terror infrastructure, but also the courage of those who thought they could attack us with impunity,” he said.

Highlighting India’s retaliation, PM Modi said that terror camps in Muridke and Bahawalpur — long associated with global terrorist incidents such as 9/11, the London bombings, and the Mumbai attacks — were neutralized. Over 100 terrorists were eliminated in one of India’s most comprehensive counter-terror missions in recent years.

Criticizing Pakistan’s actions post-strikes, Modi accused Islamabad of targeting civilian infrastructure, including schools and religious sites, with drone attacks. He stressed that India’s air defense systems successfully intercepted all incoming threats, demonstrating the strength of India’s “Made-in-India” defense technologies.

The Prime Minister issued a three-point doctrine going forward:

  • India will strike terror at its source — whether state-sponsored or not.
  • Nuclear blackmail will no longer be tolerated.
  • There is no distinction between terrorism and those who support it.

“Operation Sindoor has created a new normal — if you strike India, we will hit back harder, where it hurts the most,” Modi said. He reiterated that future dialogue with Pakistan, if any, would be solely focused on terrorism and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, asserting, “Terror and talks can’t go together. Terror and trade can’t coexist. Blood and water can’t flow together.”

In a sharp warning to Pakistan, Modi said: “If the Pakistani government continues to back terror, it will destroy its own country from within. The world must understand — this is not an era of war, but it is also not an era to tolerate terrorism.”

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister saluted the Indian Armed Forces for their precision and professionalism and thanked citizens for standing united in the fight against terror.

The PM’s address came a day after a temporary ceasefire was brokered between India and Pakistan following a heated military exchange post the Pahalgam attack and India’s retaliatory Operation Sindoor on May 7.
