Prime Minister Narendra Modi Receives Russia’s Highest Civilian Honour

JNS: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been awarded Russia’s most prestigious civilian honour, the Order of St Andrew the Apostle. Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the award to PM Modi on Tuesday, recognizing his distinguished contribution to developing a privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India and fostering friendly ties between the two countries.

The Order of St Andrew the Apostle, established in 1698 by Tsar Peter the Great, honours Saint Andrew, the first apostle and patron saint of Russia. Prime Minister Modi’s receipt of this esteemed award highlights the strong and enduring relationship between India and Russia.
