“Vigilance must reflect in every sphere of life”: Amrendu Prakash

Bokaro: “Vigilance should be embedded in our lifestyle and it must be reflected in every sphere of life,” said Amarendu Prakash, Director-in-charge Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL). He was addressing the concluding ceremony of Vigilance Awareness Week.

In the endeavour to promote transparency, probity and integrity in the life and to encourage fight against corruption, ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ was observed at BSL. The theme was ‘Vigilant India– Prosperous India.’

A series of programmes and events were conducted to sensitise the employees regarding related issues during the awareness week.

Emphasizing preventive caution, he said prevention is better than cure. “To avoid wrongdoing in life, it is necessary to bring about improvements in ourselves,” he added.

In the context of the area of work, Amarendu said, ‘we should take any decision after analyzing all aspects keeping in mind the organization, society and country interest.’

An online event was organized on this eve; besides others Director-in-charge (Medical and Health Services) Dr. AK Singh, Executive Director (Materials Management) VK Pandey, Executive Director (Operations) Atanu Bhowmik, Executive Director (Finance and Accounts) ) DK Saha, Executive Director (Projects) KP Tiwari, Executive Director (Personnel and Administration) BS Popli, General Manager (Vigilance) and ACVO Ranjan Bharti and General Manager (Vigilance) VK Bansal, Chief General Manager of BSL, heads of various departments, officers, team of Vigilance Department and winners of various events were also present in the online ceremony.

The Executive Directors present at the function also congratulated the Vigilance Department on the successful organization of Vigilance Awareness Week and called for the continuation of the campaign. The names of the winners of various competitions organized during Vigilance Awareness Week were also announced during the program.
