6 students from DPS Bokaro qualify for VVM

Jharkhand MirrorProving their mettle six students from DPS Bokaro qualify for the Nationals in the Second Level of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) – a national programme for educating and popularizing science.

These students were selected on the basis of their performances in the four stage process in the state level camp conducted recently in JVM Hazaribagh, included written test, observational analysis of video clips, situation problem solving and hands-on activities, informed school PR official.

The students who selected are Ashish Harshvardhan, Abhijeet Kumar, Shigra, Yatharth Sameer, Naman, Anamika, Varun and Nishit. The Selected students have been awarded Rs. 28000 Cash prizes”, he added. VVM is a national program jointly organized by Vijnana Bharati, NCERT and Vigyan Prasar for educating and popularizing science among the school students of Classes VI to XI. The main objective of the program is to identify keen knowledge seekers in Science and then nurture them for the higher level of science education.

Dr. Hemlata S. Mohan, the Director and Principal of the school expressed her happiness over the achievement of the students and congratulated them. She also extended her best wishes for the Nationals scheduled to be held in Delhi later this
year.
