Gaya: The Julius Foundation has returned this year with renewed efforts to support underserved communities in Gaya, continuing its mission from last year by donating clothing and funding the digging of wells to provide essential resources.
Founded with a broader purpose than just material aid, the Julius Foundation is committed to transforming lives through education. The foundation’s guiding philosophy emphasizes that when education changes, so do mindsets—and when mindsets change, actions follow, leading to long-term societal impact.
Ryu Julius, the foundation’s founder, highlighted the importance of education while reflecting on the foundation’s work. “While we continue to provide essential aid, our true mission is to offer education that can shape these children’s futures,” he said. This year, the foundation donated educational picture books focused on the theme of gratitude, with plans to produce and distribute more books next year on topics designed to inspire learning and foster self-sufficiency.
Julius stressed the importance of breaking the cycle of dependence on external aid. “Our goal is not to create long-term reliance on charity, but to provide the tools for children to grow into self-sufficient individuals who can reshape their communities,” he stated.
The Julius Foundation’s commitment to both immediate support and long-term empowerment through education reflects its core mission to create sustainable change in the lives of the children it serves.
